What is Biometrics?
Biometrics are
automated
methods of
identifying a
person based on
physiological or
behavioural
characteristics.
They include
fingerprint and
facial
recognition,
hand and finger
geometry, voice
patterns and
other
techniques. All
of the products
we provide use
fingerprint
recognition to
identify
authorized
users.
Fingerprint
recognition is
one of the most
safe and secure
methods of
access control
to date.
Passwords and
PIN numbers can
be forgotten,
keys and swipe
cards can be
lost or stolen,
your fingerprint
however is
always with you
and is unique.
To open the lock
simply place
your fingerprint
on the scanner
to be scanned.
Your fingerprint
is then cross
referenced
against the
stored
authorized user
templates. Once
a match has been
found,
authorization is
complete and the
lock opens. This
whole process
takes less than
1 second.
The biometric
technology used
in our products
is called
Fingerprint
Recognition and
is a result of a
decade of
research and
development.
Until recently
Fingerprint
recognition has
only existed in
laboratories and
science fiction

The user gently
presses their
finger against
the sensor
surface. This
sensor is
connected to a
microprocessor
inside the lock.
The information
from the scan is
analyzed. If
verification of
the fingerprint
is successful,
the lock
mechanism opens
allowing you to
turn the handle
and open the
door.
Initially, a
fingerprint is
scanned and
enrolled right
on the lock, and
it is instantly
converted into a
mathematical
template. This
template is a
data
representation
of the
fingerprint. It
is stored in the
memory of the
lock, and later
used during
verification.

the need of a
computer link,
or technical
knowledge. Three
identical
mechanical keys
are included to
manually open
the door if so
